"Why Do I Use This Photo In My Ads?"

Dear Friend,

Many people I meet in town say, "Oh I recognize you from your picture with your ad in the paper." Well, I decided to use a more personal picture and to tell you why I use ads and a little bit about myself. Years ago, well, I won't tell you exactly how many years ago, I was an undergraduate at Kearney State College when a friend and myself decided to go to Chiropractic School. We applied for admission, we were accepted and the start of the next year we loaded up our cars and headed for St. Louis, Missouri - home of Logan College of Chiropractic. It was a big step for me and needless to say, I had some uncertainties. Once classes started, I knew that this was fate and I immediately was sure this was what I should be doing. The most exciting thing about chiropractic is it's belief that the body, if functioning correctly or returned to optimal functioning, heals itself.

The role of the chiropractor is simply to maintain and restore optimal functioning. My job while in Chiropractic school was to learn how to do this. The nerves of our body all run down our spinal chord. If a vertebra is misaligned then this causes not only pain, but disruption of nerve flow to certain areas of our body. Chiropractors are taught to return the vertebra to alignment, relieving pain and maintaining the functioning of our central nervous system to the best of its ability. The great thing about Chiropractic is that it allows the body to heal itself and there are no side effects that often accompany the use of drugs. Our own bodies are allowed to do the healing, the chiropractor is just an instrument to removing the obstacles causing our pain and illness.

If I did not believe in or see the benefits of Chiropractic, I would not have the enthusiasm I do. In this picture are my wife and my two children. They are regular patients. My two daughters have been regularly adjusted since they were a day old. They usually both ask me for adjustments before I have the time to remember to check to see if they might need one. Well, my wife, let's just say she has been a big enough believer to be willing to help out many times at my office, put up with my long hours and many times opens our home to some of my regular patients who may need immediate treatment (many of my patients will verify her hospitality).

People come in to see me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, numbness in limbs and athletic injuries just to name a few. Many patients have thanked me for helping them with their health problems. But I really can't take the credit. My confession is that I've never healed anyone of anything. What I do is perform a specific spinal adjustment to remove the nerve pressure and the body responds by healing itself. We get tremendous results. It's as simple as that!

Many Americans no longer have health insurance and those who do have found that their benefits are reduced. That's where I come in. I offer my initial fee as FREE, so that more people are able to afford the care they need. Another way to save...studies show that chiropractic can double your immune capacity, naturally without drugs. The immune system fights colds, flues and other sicknesses. So, you may not be running to the doctor as much. Studies show that people actually pay less for their long-term overall health care expenses if they are seeing a chiropractor.

Please, I hope that there's no misunderstanding about quality of care just because I have this Free First Visit. My qualifications...I'm a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, a member of Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association and of World Chiropractic Association. I have been practicing chiropractic for 19 years and the last 12 years have been here in Grand Island, Nebraska.
